The Upper East Regional Women Organizer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hajia Charity Asoema has called on the party members who are seeking to be elected as executives to desist from politics of insults.
The NDC is currently embarking on a reorganization process to elect constituency, regional and national executives to man the affairs of the party for the next four years. Hajia Asoema is seeking re-election as the Upper East Regional Women Organizer. She admonished the aspirants to be decorous and avoid politics of insults in their campaign.
Speaking to A1 Radio on Daybreak Upper East show, Hajia Charity Asoema noted that the most important thing is for the NDC to take over power from the NPP.
“I wish everybody best of luck. Whoever wins, it is the same party that we are going to work for. As NDC, this contest is not war. We are not going for war. We shouldn’t allow insult and lies to be part of our message. Say what you can do for the people to vote for you don’t go and lie.”
“So you have to go out there and tell the people what you can do so that we can take the one seat and add it to make 15 seats in our region. It is our work that will show what you can do. This party is there. We will go and our generations will come and take over, so it doesn’t make sense that we should be insulting ourselves, telling lies against each other. We should stop those dirty politics,” she said
Hajia Asoema is confident that the NDC will win the 2024 election. According to her, the NPP has over the past six years, mismanaged the Ghanaian economy and made life unbearable. The NDC, she insists is the only party that can bring relief to Ghanaians.
