The Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS) in the Upper East Region has expressed disappointment about the misconduct of some students at the Chiana Senior High School seen in a viral video insulting President Akufo-Addo over challenges confronting them in the school.

CHASS rendered an unqualified apology to the President over the matter.

The behaviour of the students, CHASS said, was unfortunate hence, it will correct and instil a high level of moral standards in such students.

The said students have been asked to go home pending investigations into the matter. Meanwhile, reports suggesting that the Headmistress of the school has been arrested have been denied vehemently.

“In fact, I called her this afternoon, and we discussed a lot of issues. A committee has been asked to investigate the matter. But I must say, madam hasn’t been arrested and she is doing well,” Mr. Akumbasi said.

Mr. Akumbase gave the assurance that moving forward, students would be educated on proper and morally upright behaviour.
