A businessman, Mathew Silas Amoah from the Bolgatanga East District of the Upper East Region has urged the Ghanaian youth to desist from looking for dubious means to get rich.

Instead, he wants the youth to be focused and learn from successful people in society to become the better persons they envisage.

“Let me speak to the youth because I am a youth myself. They should avoid shortcuts. People pray that God should bless us and when God blesses you, they doubt the source of the blessing”

The business mogul who was speaking on A1 Radio stated that the road to success is full of challenges but with hard work, and determination to achieve, the youth can overcome.

“I started hustling when I was 19 years old and intended to travel abroad to make it. The journey to success is not smooth; there are many bumpy roads on it, and if you want to concentrate on the bumps, the others behind you will go. The youth shouldn’t think everything about success is negative, they should take that mentality out of their mind”, he added.

His advice came at a time some youths will go the extra mile to take the life of their fellow human being for sacrifice in order to become filthy rich.

Mr. Amoah said his arms are open to supporting the youth in the region especially youth in the Bolgatanga East District to take up the responsibility to improve their lives and the constituents.

Mr. Amoah is a member of the Ghana Tourism Board, and a member of the New Patriotic Party’s Regional Finance Committee for the Upper East.

The politician cum philanthropist recently donated various sums of money to churches in the Bolgatanga East District to support their harvest. A lot of needy but brilliant youth in the district have benefited from his gesture to further their education.

In September this year, Mathew Silas Amoah donated 16 brand new registered motorbikes to all 16 electoral areas of the Bolgatanga East Constituency for smooth party activities of the NPP. He also gave a facelift to the NPP office in Bolgatanga East Constituency by renovating it.
