2nd edition of MAGE held in Bolgatanga

The second edition of the ‘My Art Gallery Exhibition’ (MAGE) has taken place in Bolgatanga, the Upper East Regional capital. MAGE, the brainchild of Panka Abubakari Sediq played host to 12 artists from the Upper East Region, Northern Region and the Ashanti Region. 

The artistes put together sterling pieces of art work which included paintings, leather work, ceramic works, sculpture, textile and graphics.

“The importance of MAGE is to give visual artists the chance to market, network, connect and reconnect with clients and prospect clients respectively,” Mr. Sediq said when he spoke to A1 Radio’s Mark Smith in a recent interview. 

MAGE 2022 was organised by Mr. Sediq with support from the Akayet Hotel, National Board For Small Scales Industries, Ghana Tourism Authority and Beyond The Return.

Recently, Panka Abubakari Sediq, an enthusiastic visual artist, corporate marketer, and project manager, was nominated for the 40 under 40 award scheme. The award scheme was to celebrate “Young Achievers And Emerging Leaders Under Forty.”

Mr. Sediq of Panka Arts studied Industrial Arts at the Tamale Technical University. He’s a student at Domestika, a community-based programme for creative professionals, in Germany, studying Corporate Marketing and Project Management.
