Stephen Yakubu, the Upper East Regional Minister has responded to concerns and comments from sections of the public that suggest that the minister is one of the many non-performing ministers in the Nana-Akuffo-Addo-led administration. Mr. Yakubu said as a public official, he accepts criticism with grace and carefully evaluates any constructive feedback.

The Upper East Regional Minister said this when he spoke on A1 Radio’s Day Break Upper East Show, Monday, January 9, 2023.

Mr. Yakubu said, as human, he cannot please all residents in the Upper East Region with the decisions he takes in his attempt to develop the area.

“Well, you cannot be working and everybody would think that you are doing very well. We are in a democratic society and therefore, people have their own views. It is always good to accommodate all these views, collate them, look at the genuine ones and then work on them. For me, I am open to criticism,” he said.

Mr. Yakubu, the Upper East Regional Minister explained that for the region to develop, he needs all the support he can get. He also reminded residents of the Upper East Region that he is fallible.

“Remember that we have a region to develop together and I am not a perfect human being. I can make mistakes. I want people to point out my mistakes to me so that we can all sit down and do things the way they should be done. I am happy with every criticism that comes my way,” he said.
