The Builsa South District Assembly in the Upper East Region has cautioned its Member of Parliament for the area, Dr. Clement Apaak, to follow properly laid down procedures and stop using party executives or structures in his [the MP’s] attempt to collate the names of needy but brilliant students who are seeking the MP’s assistance through the MP’s Fund.

According to the Assembly, the MP, has on several occasions used the party structure to collect names of students for sponsorship.

In a letter copied to the MP and signed by the District Coordinating Director, Aminu Mohammed Baba, the MP’s attention was drawn to a previously held Assembly meeting where it was decided that a Committee of the Assembly would vet the candidates after a formal request is made by the Assembly.
