Dr. Emmanuel Abeere-inga successfully filed his nomination yesterday to contest Dr. Dominic Ayine, the incumbent member of Parliament for the Bolgatanga East Constituency, in the NDC parliamentary primaries.

Dr. Abeere-inga stormed the party office in Zuarungu yesterday with hundreds of party supporters across the constituency for the filing process with a simple message of creating job opportunities for the people.

The lecturer and development expert who spoke to the media after filing his nominations stated that the Bolgatanga East Constituency has many developmental opportunities that could be used to transform the area. These, he said, have not been harnessed.

According to Dr. Abeere-inga, his aim is to help create jobs for the teeming population in the constituency by teaming up with his developmental and investment partners across the country and beyond.

“I have visualised the enormous opportunities for the transformation of Bolga, and I cannot sleep. I want to intervene, which is why I finally offer myself in the hope that I will be given the chance to help catalyse development for Bolga East and BONABOTO at large. In creating jobs, I bring my investment opportunities and my development partners all around the table to chart a course. I know we have had a fantastic MP but every season desire a new leadership”

In his address to the media, he also stated that he is standing tall in the contest because party members and delegates are looking for new energy and direction following his interaction with them. Dr. Abeere-inga added that he is a unifier who can unite the party in the Bolga East constituency, as many raise concerns about disunity in the party in that constituency.

“What they tell me is that our MP has done enough, but we need a new hand. We need a new direction. And most of all, there is a feeling that there is disunity in this constituency. That people are targeted people are sack, people are discipline inappropriately.”
