After successfully filing his nominations to contest the NDC primaries in the Bolgatanga East Constituency, Dr. Emmanuel Abeere-inga urged delegates to see him as the unifier the NDC has been looking for.
The Project Management Specialist and Development Expert said he is well prepared to face the incumbent member of Parliament for the Bolga East constituency, Dr. Dominic Ayine.
Dr. Emmanuel Abeere-inga alleged that, due to some actions and inactions of the leadership of the party in the constituency, there’s a high level of disunity within the party. The level of intolerance for divergent opinions in the party within the Bolga East area has pushed others out of the party.
According to him, the performance of members of Parliament has been declining in previous elections, indicating that all is not well within the party, and he reminds the only person who can reunite all members to stay focused on working for the NDC.
“We need a united person to bring us all together. There are many people who are now falling out who initially started the party but are now falling out; they can’t even come. Because the division has gone too far, we are losing members. If you check our performance especially of the MP, it has declined from his first election to the last, and this is the evidence that there is a missing gap we should not behaved as ostriches we must confront it”
In 2021, 18 members of the National Democratic Congress in the Bolgatanga East constituency were suspended following their misconduct and disrespect to the party and its member of parliament for the area.
The suspended members included former executives and loyal members of the party and have been quoted as having campaigned against the party and its then parliamentary candidate, Dr. Dominic Ayine, during the 2020 elections.
