Pray for Bawumia to be President: Stephen Yakubu reminds Upper East Region at Eid-Ul-Fitr prayers

The Upper East Regional Minister, Hon. Stephen Yakubu, has commended the New Patriotic Party’s development policies for Muslims in Zongo communities.

He mentioned the Zongo Development Fund and the  Nasara Wing of the Party which accelerated education in Zongo communities, “We intentionally targeted the Muslim communities so we all develop together.”

He said the NPP as a development-oriented Party, would continue to commit itself to creating a society of opportunities for all, irrespective of one’s social circumstances.

Hon. Yakubu said this when he joined Muslims in Bolgatanga to mark the Eid-ul Fitr celebration.

He called on Muslims to use the occasion to pray for the Vice-President, Alhaji Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, who is one of them, to become the next President of Ghana to enable him continue the “good works” of the NPP.

He further urged them to pray for peace in Bawku, Doba and Kandiga, Bongo-Soe and Bolgatanga which are conflict prone areas in the Region.

“As a region we cannot achieve the needed development without peaceful co-existence. Let us use this occasion to pray for lasting peace in the Region,” he said.
