Franklin Kofi Asante is a contemporary gospel artiste based in the Upper East Region of Ghana who is making strides with his latest hit single, Baba God.
Popularly known as Worshipper, the onetime secular artist is now pursuing a gospel project which is geared towards making Christ known across the country.
According to him, he was saved from his wayward ways and the only way for him to spread the word of his savior is to use his position and talent to help push and win souls to fill the kingdom of God.
The one time secular artiste who took his turn on the star profile, a program that celebrates individuals who have been outstanding in the entertainment industry in the Upper East region and the country as a whole noted that, life in the “world” has had a tolling effect on him but was very grateful for being saved.
Discovering his talent back in the Senior High School, Kofi Asante has never looked back in pursuing his passion and talent.
“I have done music since my childhood. I realized music was linked to me through my mother’s placenta. However, I realized my musical talent when I got to the senior high school so I began pursuing that dream until now.”
He indicated that, although he heard a voice calling on him to pursue gospel to help propel the Kingdom business, he was too Stubborn to listen to the voice but for now he has come to believe the word and that he will forever pursue the course of the almighty.
The broadcaster turn musician indicated that he was going to combine broadcasting with his new career in music hinting that he will soon introduce a strictly gospel program that will help push the kingdom business and win souls to fill the kingdom of God.
Kofi Asante hopes to restore hope and build the trust of the masses in God through music, dreaming of breaking through the local market and also making waves on the international scene.
On his new single, Baba God, the enthusiastic singer mentioned that, the song was a single out of his yet to be released album, ADONAI.
He indicated that the single tells the story of how he, an unbeliever and social outcast has been able to be saved, giving hope to all the world that everyone can be saved if only one permits his/herself.
