The New Patriotic Party has commended its largest political opponent, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), for successful primaries.

Speaking to Mark Smith on A1 Radio’s Day Break Upper East Show today, Deputy Upper East Regional Communication Director for the NPP, Andrew Atariwini, explained that the process had been smooth despite the court injunction and scare in the final moments for the party.

Mr. Atariwini said, “The process has been relatively incident free. And I must commend the NDC.”

While the NDC’s primaries in the Upper East Region produced some interesting victories and losses, Mr. Atariwini explained that the results in some of the constituencies were in favour of the NPP.

Meanwhile, the Upper East Regional Communication Officer, Jonathan Salifu Abdallah, has commended the delegates for reposing confidence in the former President, John Dramani Mahama.

“The Upper East Regional Communication Bureau congratulates H.E John Dramani Mahama for having been elected flagbearer and leader of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), and all fifteen (15) parliamentary candidates elected in the just ended presidential and parliamentary primaries on Saturday, the 13th May, 2023. We commend all who contributed to the success of the elections in the region. The process was highly successful due to your hard work and diligence, and we encourage you to continue this selfless service to rescue our nation from the clutches of the clueless and incompetent Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration.”
