Binduri MP supports GHS with Ghc27,400 to fight anthrax

The Member of Parliament for Binduri, has supported the Binduri Health Directorate with a sum of Ghc27,400 to help fight the Anthrax outbreak in the district. 

This was contained in a statement copied to this website, the statement signed by the MP who doubles as the Deputy Minister for Works and Housing.

“Approval is granted for the release of twenty-seven thousand, four hundred Ghana cedis from the MP’s NHIA allocation to support activities outlined as per your request to carry out anthrax outbreak control in the district,” the statement read. 

The statement was in response to the Ghana Health Service’s request for support to deal with the outbreak of Anthrax in the area. 

The funds, according to the Health Directorate, would go into organising refresher training for staff on disease surveillance with emphasis on anthrax, orientation of community health volunteers on CBS focusing on anthrax, airing of jingles, radio announcements, van announcement and radio discussion among other things.
