Joy FM/News’ Albert Sore is Upper East Regional GJA Journalist of the Year

Joy FM/News’ Albert Sore was adjudged the 2022 Upper East Regional GJA Journalist of the Year. Additionally, the Mr. Sore won the Best Agriculture Reporter of the Year and Best Human Rights Reporter of the Year awards.

When he spoke to this website, Mr. Sore said, “I’m grateful to my editors at Joynews especially Joojo Cobbinah for pushing and supporting me to do the documentary on the Pwalugu multipurpose dam. I’m also grateful to my family and friends for being supportive and standing by during the challenges and hard times. The award will spur me on to do more challenging works to help our region and country.”

At the event, Mr. Sore spoke about the dangers journalists go through in order to inform the public. He called on stakeholders to be supportive of the work journalists do, particularly in the Upper East Region.

Meanwhile, A1 Radio, a subsidiary of the Agreed Best Communication Company, was honored with the esteemed title of Best Radio Station at the 2022 Upper East Regional GJA Awards. This prestigious accolade marks a significant achievement for the station, reinforcing its dedication to excellence in the realm of radio broadcasting.
