The trio seeking to lead NPP in Bolga Central is politically inexperienced and not a match for Adongo – Bolga Constituency Secretary

As the NPP nears its primaries for the orphan constituencies across the country, three names have popped up for the Bolgatanga Constituency. They are Rashid Agana Bawa, Elvis Awonekai Figo, and Rawfield Abileo.
These names are, however, laughable and present no formidable competition to the PC for the NDC, who doubles as the MP for Bolga, Isaac Adongo. This is according to the Bolgatanga Constituency Secretary for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Isaac Ayemvoa. Mr. Ayemvoa made these comments when he spoke on A1 Radio’s Day Break Upper East Show.
“There won’t be any serious parliamentary contest so far as Bolga Central is concerned come 2024. Among the three, it won’t matter who wins. I am saying so because, if you look at the people who are there, they started politics somehow, and I don’t want to say they are inexperienced. No, I don’t want to say that. What I want to say is that the people of Bolga Central will want to engage serious minds to be able to bring out the development the people need. If you look at the party that has furthered development for the people of Bolga, it has always been the NDC,” he said.
Mr. Ayemvoa insisted that the MP, Isaac Adongo, had paid his dues and that the people of the area would recognise this by giving him another opportunity to represent them in Parliament.
“He will be given the nod to go ahead and bring more development to the people, especially when we, the NDC, are going to win the next election. We would not be swayed by what is happening.”
The Bolgatanga Constituency Secretary for the NDC insisted that across the country, many people had gathered so much money and wanted to spend it, the reason for contesting the primaries in many areas.
