The Upper East Regional Coordinating Council (UERCC) has commended A1 Radio, a subsidiary of the Agreed Best Communication Company, for using its platform, particularly the station’s flagship program, Day Break Upper East Show, to sustain conversations and drive advocacy for the release of lands for government projects.

Speaking to Mark Smith, host of the Day Break Upper East Show today, the Chief Director of the UERCC, Alhaji Abubakar Inusah, said that because of the continued discussions on A1 Radio around the release of lands for government projects, the issue had gained traction and caught the attention of the pressure group BONABOTO, which had shown keen interest in the matter and promised to take the issues directly to the families at the center of the land disputes wanted for government projects.

Alhaji Inusah continued to appeal to landowners and families to be considerate and have fair negotiations with the government, particularly for lands expected to be released to support government projects.

“We are still appealing through your medium to families and landowners. We still have a lot of challenges, but thanks to your medium, BONABOTO has set in to come and assist us to negotiate with the families and landowners to get these important projects completed.”

“So we want to use this opportunity to thank you so much, and we ask you to keep the fire on until we achieve what the region deserves,” he said.
