In a recent interview with Mark Smith on A1 Radio’s Day Break Upper East Show, the District Chief Executive for Talensi, Thomas Duanab Wuni, underscored the urgent need for reconciliation within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to ensure a united front ahead of the upcoming elections.

According to him, a multi-faceted approach to reconciliation must be employed. He suggested that party leaders should initiate discussions, workshops, and team-building activities to bridge the existing gaps.

Highlighting the crucial role that could strengthen the party, Mr. Duanab pinpointed that before the executives could embark on reconciling with other factions, they must first reconcile with themselves.

Mr. Duanab, who contested the Parliamentary Candidature for the party in Talensi and lost, emphasized that even before the factions could reach the reconciliation table, modalities must be in place to facilitate a harmonious atmosphere.

Failure to do so, he said, could jeopardize the party’s chances of securing majorities in both parliamentary seats and the presidential seat.

He, therefore, urged party members and executives to prioritize reconciliation efforts, stressing that a fragmented party is vulnerable to losing the support of the electorate.
