The chief and residents of the Uwasi community in the Builsa South District of the Upper East Region have expressed their profound gratitude to their Member of Parliament, Dr. Clement Apaak, for commissioning an ultramodern kindergarten school in the area.

The newly constructed KG block, located in the Zuasa community, according to the residents, came at the right time as it will help address the challenge of absenteeism among some pupils who faced long walks to the existing school.

Naab Abiak Jacob Amwaanya, speaking at the commissioning ceremony, expressed deep appreciation for Dr. Apaak’s commitment to education in their community. He also pledged the community’s vigilance in safeguarding the newly established school.

Speaking on the motive behind the establishment of the school, Dr. Clement Apaak explained the importance of inclusive and equitable quality education for all, especially at the kindergarten level. He underscored the need for equal access to quality early childhood development, asserting that it plays a pivotal role in a child’s smooth transition from home to the school environment.

The MP also highlighted the significance of such an educational foundation in unlocking the natural talents and potential of every child. He, therefore, indicated that the establishment of the school further reflected his proactive effort to address educational challenges and promote a conducive learning environment for the community’s youngest members.
