The Member of Parliament for Nabdam Constituency, Dr. Kurt-Mark Nawaane, has generously donated GHC 5,000 to Kongo Senior High School to improve the educational infrastructure in the area.

The donated fund is for the refurbishment of the school’s computer laboratory, which has been grappling with a lack of information technology equipment for years.

Kongo Senior High School has faced challenges in providing students with a conducive environment for learning information technology. The outdated computer laboratory, according to school authorities, hindered the teaching and learning experience, limiting the students’ exposure to modern technology.

Recognizing the importance of IT education in today’s world, they reached out to the legislator for support.

Dr. Kurt-Mark Nawaane promptly responded to the plea, expressing his commitment to enhancing education in the constituency.

According to the legislator, the donated fund is expected to address the pressing need for updated computer equipment in the school’s laboratory.

“I donated this amount to assist with the refurbishment of the computer lab. I know the school needs a lot in terms of infrastructure and other areas, and I can assure you that plans are in place to assist with its needs. Together, I know, we can improve the educational sector in the district,” he stated.

The Headmistress of Kongo Senior High School, Ms. Gifty Ayamba, who graciously received the donation, expressed her gratitude, stating that the funds would enable the school to acquire new computers from the Ghana Education Service.
