Elvis Atia Awonekai, the New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary candidate for the Bolgatanga Central constituency in a bid to rally for support and galvanize constituents ahead of the 2024 elections, has issued a passionate call for voters to unite and actively participate in securing victory for the NPP in the constituency.
Mr. Awonekai, who is vying to represent the people of Bolgatanga Central in parliament, outlined his vision for the constituency, focusing on key priorities such as job creation and livelihood support for youth, women, and the physically challenged.
“My passion has always been to give hope to young people, women, and children, as well as to advocate for better jobs and businesses for the youth, women, and the physically challenged,” he said in a statement.
Growing up in a poverty-stricken home, the NPP candidate said he is doing all that he can to ensure that the lives of his constituents are improved.
“Anyone who knows me well knows that my life was filled with challenges from adolescence to adulthood. Life’s challenges taught me to humble myself and respect everyone, as well as to build confidence and prepare for more difficult challenges. I do not want any young person to go through the life challenges that I did.”
“So, over the years, I have lobbied authorities and offered several young people with their dream jobs; as a result of my efforts, the NPP Government has invested in several women’s groups in the Bolgatanga Central constituency. My services, advocacy, public engagement, and contributions to the development of Bolgatanga can be felt throughout the constituency,” Mr. Awonekai outlined.
He emphasized the importance of inclusive governance and promised to prioritize the needs of all constituents if elected to office. The NPP parliamentary candidate for the Bolgatanga Central constituency disclosed plans to inaugurate a campaign team in the coming days that would channel his policies and programs to the doorstep of the voters and solicit their votes.
