A Native of Baare, a Community in the Talensi District of the Upper East Region, Has Achieved an Impressive Feat by Riding a Bicycle from Bolgatanga to Suhum.
The current distance of James Kumbeni’s ride is an estimated 752 kilometers, representing about 92 percent of his historic 815 km ride.
When Mr. Kumbeni spoke to A1 Radio in Nkawkaw, he explained that he was fit, unfazed, and committed to seeing the journey through.
“I am fit. I am good to go. The weather has been good today, and it has helped,” he said.
James, who has become aware of the concerns well-wishers have for him on social media, said, “I’m grateful that they care about me and what we’re doing, but I want to assure them that I am fine and very fit.”
James intends to rest in Suhum and continue to Accra along with a barrage of cyclists, bikers, and security personnel.
James Kumbeni is embarking on a cycling journey from Bolgatanga to Accra to promote clean air and cyclists’ safety.
