The Cardinal Namdini Mining Limited (CNML) has taken steps to improve the telecommunication network in its operational areas in the Talensi District of the Upper East Region.
The company has constructed telecommunication towers for its mining project, which has enabled telecommunication network companies to install their microwave devices and provide quality voice and data services to the people in the area.
Access to a telecommunication network was a major challenge for over 2,600 people in communities such as Digaare, Tolla, Bapeela, New Accra site, and Biung, but they can now connect to their relations worldwide via the Vodafone network, both voice and data services.
“I am excited to announce that following the recent completion of the telecommunication towers for the Namdini Project, Vodafone has installed their microwave devices on our towers to bring their network coverage to the area. Over 2,800 people in communities such as Digaare, Tolla, Bapeela, New Accra site, and Biung can now heave a sigh of relief as they can now connect to their relations worldwide via the Vodafone network, both voice and data services. I am informed that with this service, people can have Closed User Groups which enable members to enjoy free calls within their circles.”
The Vice President of Cardinal Namdini Mining Ltd, Feng Baoli, made this revelation at the Digaare community, one of the newly established communities by the large-scale mining company, after supporting students with about 14,636 exercise books.
According to Mr. Baoli, the company is also collaborating with MTN Ghana to move to the area and improve their network coverage in these communities.
“Very soon, we will have MTN also come in to improve their network coverage for all our communities around the project.”
Cardinal Namdini Mining Ltd stated its full commitment to supporting the district, especially communities within its operational areas, even though the company is still in the construction stage.
