Dominic Anarigide, Deputy Constituency Secretary for the NDC in the Navrongo Central Constituency of the Upper East Region, has voiced concerns over Ghana’s economic landscape, highlighting challenges related to raw material dependency and exchange rate volatility.
He emphasized the need for strategic policies that promote self-sufficiency in raw materials to reduce dependency on imports and support local industries.
Mr. Anarigide pointed out that ineffective economic management has exacerbated inflationary pressures and made it difficult for businesses and consumers alike to thrive.
He also raised concerns about the impact of exchange rate fluctuations on pricing dynamics. Anaregide noted that unstable exchange rates complicate efforts to regulate prices of essential goods and services, affecting affordability for consumers and profitability for producers.
As stakeholders advocate for policy reforms, there is a growing consensus on the need for government action to address these challenges effectively. The focus remains on implementing strategies that promote self-sufficiency, stabilize prices, and foster economic resilience for the benefit of all citizens.
