The Upper East Regional Minister, Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih, has expressed his commitment to achieving peace in the region, aiming to change its perception as a conflict-prone area.
Speaking on A1 Radio, Dr. Hafiz emphasized that one of his primary goals is to restore tranquility and ensure that the region is no longer seen considered an unsafe place.
Dr. Bin Salih stated, “To be remembered for peace returning to the region during my tenure is a significant achievement I aspire to. Currently, when people hear about the Upper East, they often conclude it is a conflict zone. My hope and efforts are focused on addressing these disturbances among the people.”
Acknowledging the pockets of unrest that have plagued the region, Dr. Bin Salih is dedicated to creating an environment conducive to development and growth.
With such hopes, he called on technocrats, chiefs, and the youth to join him in this endeavor, emphasizing the collective effort required to achieve lasting peace.
“I am working tirelessly with the chiefs, opinion leaders, technocrats, and the youth to ensure that peace and tranquility return, as this is crucial for the region’s development,” Dr. Hafiz added.
According to him, with the support of these stakeholders and the implementation of effective conflict resolution strategies, the region can overcome its challenges and pave the way for a brighter future.
