The National Democratic Congress (NDC) campaign will involve all Ghanaians at every level, according to Benjamin Atuasi, Deputy Upper East Regional Youth Organiser of the NDC.
He made this comment on A1 Radio’s Day Break Upper East Show following the NDC’s campaign launch in Tamale over the weekend.
He stated that the 2024 general election is not merely a contest between the NDC and the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) but rather a broader movement for Ghana’s renewed independence.
“This campaign launch promises to engage every reasonable Ghanaian in owning the campaign. It is not going to be just a matter of the NDC versus the NPP. It is about Ghana fighting for our independence once again,” he said.
He emphasized that the campaign aims to transform Ghana’s future and to reach out to citizens across markets, homes, and public spaces to communicate the flagbearer John Dramani Mahama’s vision. “We are going to visit markets, houses, and every public place where people are, to talk to them about John Dramani Mahama’s positive message,” he added.
The campaign, he said, will be extensive and comprehensive, addressing key issues such as job creation and national development.
Mr. Atuasi also highlighted that the party’s manifesto, set to be unveiled in August, will further detail their policies and substantiate their campaign promises. “Although we have already outlined many policies, our manifesto will provide additional depth to the campaign,” he said, expressing confidence that the campaign will guide Ghana toward positive progress and bring significant change.
