The Member of Parliament (MP) and NDC parliamentary candidate for the Nabdam Constituency, Dr. Mark Kurt Nawaane, has urged the electorate to consider his unwavering dedication to the district’s development as they head to the polls.
Speaking during an exclusive interview on A1 Radio, Dr. Nawaane highlighted his primary motivation for entering politics, emphasizing his commitment to improving the lives of the people of Nabdam.
“I came to Nabdam with a purpose,” Dr. Nawaane stated, “which is to elevate and bring the needed social amenities to the doorsteps of the people. Serving the people of Nabdam is key to the reason I joined politics in the first place. If it were about money, I would not have concerned myself.”
Dr. Nawaane, who also owns a private hospital, revealed the substantial earnings of his staff, noting that financial gain was not his driving force.
“Do you know how much I pay my doctor at my private hospital? GH¢25,000 per month,” he disclosed, underscoring that his political career is rooted in service, not profit.
Addressing comments from critics who believe his time in office should come to an end, Dr. Nawaane acknowledged the natural cycle of political leadership.
“Of course, I came and took over from someone and do not intend to occupy the Nabdam seat forever,” he said.
However, he made a passionate plea to the electorate, asking them to recognize his efforts in fostering growth in Nabdam.
“I will plead with the electorate to see the commitment to growth I’m demonstrating for the people of Nabdam and honor me with re-election by a huge vote margin like never before.”
His appeal to voters centers on his track record and vision for the future, urging them to support his continued leadership to ensure the ongoing development of Nabdam.
