John-Paul Danka, a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Upper East Communications team, has highlighted that the NDC is actively engaging with voters through grassroots interactions rather than large rallies, reflecting a more focused and direct approach to campaigning.

“Towards the manifesto, I think for the first time, we are going to have an applied manifesto,” he stated.

Mr. Danka emphasized the NDC’s commitment to understanding public needs and addressing societal issues as its flagbearer travels extensively.

He noted that the party’s upcoming manifesto is innovative and tailored to address various societal needs, with a focus on practical solutions that citizens can take ownership of.

He also defended the party’s policy on free tuition for first-year tertiary students, questioning the benefit of free access to Senior High School if students are unable to access further education due to financial burdens. “What does it profit a student who benefits from free SHS if they cannot afford admission fees for further education?”

Furthermore, he expressed doubt in the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP)’s ability to secure up to 120 parliamentary seats in the December 7 polls, stating that they have failed and disappointed the people.
