Andrew Atariwini, the Deputy Upper East Regional Communications Director for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), says the NPP’s manifesto represents a pivotal moment in their preparation for the December 7 elections.
He emphasized that the campaign has been crystallized into a comprehensive document that serves as the party’s social contract with Ghanaian voters.
“We have now concretized our thoughts, our speeches, and our campaign messages into a document that will be the social contract we wish to sign with the Ghanaian people.”
Mr. Atariwini praised the manifesto as a groundbreaking and innovative document, unlike any seen before in Ghana’s history. “We have never seen a manifesto like this in the history of this country. It is very, very innovative.”
He described the day of the launch as exceptional and suggested that it has energized supporters to explore the details of the party’s proposals. “What has been presented is a stimulant that will encourage people to delve into the details and appreciate that, indeed, if it is about jobs, this is the plan for creating them,” he said, noting that the manifesto provides a clear roadmap for job creation and economic improvement.
Additionally, Mr. Atariwini highlighted the flagbearer’s commitment to reducing the cost of living through measures such as a flat tax rate and various incentives. “He is going to ensure that we have a flat tax rate.” This, he believes, will significantly resonate with voters and build confidence in the party’s ability to address key issues.
