A1 Radio’s Joshua Asaah, Moses Apiah, Humul Khrusum Tahiru nominated for 3rd Upper East GJA awards

Three journalists with A1 Radio, subsidiary of Agreed Best Communication Company have been nominated for the 3rd Upper East GJA Awards. They are Head of News, Joshua Asaah, Head of Sports, Humul Khrusum Tahiru and Executive Producer of the Day Break Upper East Show, Moses Apiah.

The announcement from the vetting comittee comes as the Upper East Region’s journalism community gears up for the prestigious 3rd Upper East GJA Awards.

The report, delivered by the Chairman of the Vetting Committee, Professor David Millar, outlines the nominees for this year’s awards. The three-member committee, inaugurated on July 11, 2024, was tasked with reviewing entries and selecting journalists whose work stands out in various categories.

A total of nine journalists were nominated for recognition at the awards ceremony, which is scheduled to take place on September 6, 2024, at the Blue Sky Hotel in Zuarungu. The awards will cover fourteen categories, including the coveted Journalist of the Year award.

Among the nominees are:

  • Abagna Jose Nelson, GBC-URA Radio
  • Joshua Asaah, A1 Radio
  • Anthony Apubeo Adongo, Ghana News Agency
  • Humu-Khrusum Tahiru, A1 Radio
  • Nicholas Nambirigya Azebire, Dreamz FM
  • Moses Abaa Apiah, A1 Radio
  • Albert Sore, Joynews

The Regional Chairman of the Upper East GJA, William Nlanjerbor Jalulah, expressed his appreciation for the diligent work of the vetting committee.
