The Upper East Regional Minister, Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih, recently visited his alma mater, Bolgatanga Senior High School (BigBoss), and urged the students to take their studies seriously.
During his visit, Dr. Bin Salih emphasized the importance of education in achieving success in life. He encouraged the students to develop a strong passion for learning and to strive for excellence, set goals, and work towards them with dedication and perseverance.
“The Regional Director has informed me that you have qualified teachers who mentor and teach you. Because of this, I want you to take your studies seriously. Do not let anything distract you from your education. Education is a game changer; those of us from poor backgrounds use education to leverage ourselves, and I want you to be committed to your studies and ensure that you leave this school with flying colors,” he said.
He also announced plans to initiate an awards scheme at the school to recognize the best-performing students in their final examinations.
Additionally, Dr. Bin Salih provided his alma mater with a street lighting system and sporting materials. He stated that the street lights are intended to enhance the security and safety of students on campus, especially at night. The footballs and jerseys are meant to support their sporting activities.
The headmaster of BigBoss, Anthony Adimazoya, along with the teachers and students, welcomed Dr. Bin Salih’s words of encouragement. They believe his visit will have a lasting impact on the students, inspiring them to take their studies seriously and aim high in life.
