Professor Albert Luguterah, Vice-Chancellor of C.K. Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences (CKT-UTAS), has lauded the institution’s strides in expanding its academic offerings over the past four years.
Speaking at the university’s 4th Congregation Ceremony held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, Professor Luguterah highlighted significant milestones, including the recent accreditation of the university’s Nursing programs.
“Worthy of mention is the recent accreditation of our Nursing programs by both the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) and the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC),” Professor Luguterah announced.
He noted that 205 students have already been admitted to various levels of the Nursing program for the 2023/2024 academic year, underscoring the growing interest and trust in the university’s educational offerings.
The Vice-Chancellor emphasized the university’s commitment to maintaining high academic standards, revealing that all programs due for re-accreditation have been submitted to GTEC for review.
“I can assure you that the university will subject all existing and new academic programs to the necessary processes and seek approval before running them. We are thankful to GTEC for their continued support and appreciate the great efforts of our Heads of Departments (HODs), Deans, and everyone involved in this regard,” he stated.
The 4th Congregation Ceremony, which marked the culmination of years of hard work and dedication by the students, saw the official conferment of degrees on 94 students.
Professor Luguterah noted that the graduating class included 87 graduate students, among them six PhD recipients, and seven undergraduate students.
He commended the graduates for their perseverance and commitment to excellence.
“We are here this morning to officially confer degrees on students who gained admission to our university and have satisfied all the requirements for graduation at the end of their studies,” Professor Luguterah said.
He encouraged the graduates to carry the university’s values of integrity, innovation, and hard work into their future endeavors.
The ceremony, which was attended by faculty, staff, students, and families, celebrated both the individual achievements of the graduates and the collective progress of the university.
