The Upper East Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Lawyer Anthony Namoo, has fulfilled a pledge made by the Vice President and Flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
In a ceremony held at Kongo Senior High School (SHS) in the Nabdam District, Lawyer Namoo presented a brand-new pickup truck to the school, marking the realization of Dr. Bawumia’s promise.
According to Lawyer Namoo, the donation stems from a commitment made by the Vice President during his visit to the Nabdam constituency on July 28, 2024.
During this visit, Dr. Bawumia acknowledged the transportation challenges faced by the students and staff of Kongo SHS and assured them of his support in addressing this long-standing issue.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Lawyer Namoo emphasized the Vice President’s dedication to fulfilling his promises, describing him as a just and truthful leader.
“Dr. Bawumia is not only committed to upgrading our nation but also to positioning it for the growth and development of every citizen,” Lawyer Namoo remarked.
He highlighted the importance of leadership that delivers on its word, noting that the pickup truck would greatly enhance the school’s operations and overall academic performance.
Lawyer Namoo also took the opportunity to call on the people of the Upper East Region to support Dr. Bawumia in the upcoming December 7th elections.
He expressed confidence that the Vice President’s leadership would bring progress and prosperity to both the region and the nation.
The donation has been warmly received by the school community, with students and teachers expressing their gratitude for the much-needed support.
The pickup truck is expected to significantly improve the logistical capabilities of Kongo SHS, ensuring smoother transportation for both academic and extracurricular activities.
