The Upper East Regional Chairman of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Alhaji Huseini Ibrahim, is optimistic about the party’s victory in the December 7 general election.
According to Alhaji Huseini, Ghana’s first President, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s party has a strong record in the country, and Ghanaians are expected to favor the CPP over the NDC and the NPP.
“We are ready to take power in the upcoming election from the NPP and NDC. After this flagbearer election, we are leaving no stone unturned. We will ensure that we come together in the name of Nkrumah and win this election because his contributions are clear for everyone to see,” he stated.
Before the election of the party’s flagbearer, the CPP had a successful referendum approving the amendment of its constitution.
Meanwhile, information available to A1 News indicates that Nana Yaw Frimpong, who secured 586 votes, has refused to congratulate Nana Frimpomaa Kumankumah. Nana Yaw Frimpong alleged that the election was marred by vote-buying.
