The National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Joseph Yamin, has issued a stern warning to party executives and supporters in the Navrongo Central constituency, emphasizing that failure to win the parliamentary seat could result in no appointments for local executives.
Yamin’s remarks come amid concerns over internal disunity among party members in the area.
He stressed that securing the Navrongo Central seat is crucial for the party’s success in the 2024 general elections.
Addressing the growing factionalism within the constituency, he urged party members to put aside their differences and unite for a common goal.
Yamin noted that if the internal rift persists and they fail to secure the seat, there would be no government appointments for any local executives, even if the NDC wins power in 2025.
“If you do not work as a team to secure this seat, then do not expect any appointments when we win power,” Yamin stated, signaling that the party’s leadership would prioritize constituencies that demonstrate unity and deliver electoral victories.
He called on party faithful in Navrongo Central to rally behind the NDC’s parliamentary candidate and work collectively for a resounding victory on December 7.
The Navrongo Central seat has been a key battleground for both the NDC and the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), making it one of the most closely watched constituencies in the Upper East Region.
Yamin’s appeal aims to bridge the gap between discontented party supporters and ensure a solidified front as the party heads into the crucial elections.
