The National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Joseph Yamin, has urged party supporters and executives to focus on more effective campaign strategies rather than organizing health walks, which he believes do not contribute to electoral victories.
Speaking in Navrongo during the inauguration of a constituency campaign team, Yamin emphasized the need for party members to channel their energy into door-to-door campaigns and direct engagement with voters in their homes and communities.
Yamin argued that, with barely three months left before the elections, the NDC should prioritize meaningful interactions with the electorate.
He highlighted that health walks and other fanfare activities, while generating excitement, do little to sway undecided voters or address the concerns of the people.
According to him, the time spent on such activities could be better utilized by reaching out to the grassroots and ensuring that the NDC’s message resonates with the electorate.
He further noted that health walks and similar activities had become a common trend among NDC members, diverting attention from more productive forms of campaigning.
Yamin cautioned that this could lead to missed opportunities for the party in terms of voter outreach.
The National Organizer also reiterated the importance of maintaining a strategic focus as the election draws nearer, stressing that direct voter engagement is key to winning hearts and minds.
He urged members to understand the priorities of the electorate and tailor their efforts accordingly.
