The Alikoto Festival 2024 has been launched. The star-studded event took place on Saturday, September 21, 2024, attracting a lively crowd of media personalities, influential figures in the entertainment sector, and social media influencers.
Founded by Arc. Reuben Daliwe Agyegelone, the Alikoto Festival aims to redefine the creative landscape in Northern Ghana.
The Municipal Chief Executive of Bolgatanga, Rex Asanga, was the guest of honor at the event. He commended the organizers for the program and urged creators in the region to continue pursuing their dreams despite the challenges they face.
“This initiative is a testament to your dedication to giving back to society. I encourage all creatives to keep building themselves despite any limitations they may encounter.”
Attendees enjoyed a variety of engaging activities, including photoshoots, virtual reality games, and FIFA gaming. A thought-provoking panel discussion highlighted the festival’s objectives, while an impressive exhibition showcased how augmented reality can promote the arts.

With this year’s theme, “Next Level Unleashed,” the festival is set to unfold over two days on December 27 and 28, promising an unforgettable celebration of art, fashion, music, culture, and creativity.

In anticipation of the festival, a series of events will focus on impacting the creative landscape and youth development in the Upper East Region, including:
– Creative Arts Competition for Basic Schools (October to December) – Designed to inspire and empower young creatives.
– Creatives Konnect Summit (December) – A free networking event for individuals in the creative space to share ideas and growth strategies.
– Alikoto Hi Skuul Rave (December 24) – A funfair exclusively for high school students.
