The Alombinuo Foundation, a local non-governmental, non-profit organization based in the Upper East Region, has extended a helping hand to students of Yipaala Primary and Junior High School in the Bolgatanga municipality.
In line with its mission to empower the less privileged, the foundation has provided essential educational materials and support to deserving students. This marks the organization’s fourth project since its inception in January 2024.
The donation at Yipaala Basic School saw a total of 32 students receiving brand-new school uniforms, while 24 students, in addition to receiving uniforms, were given books, pens, and bags as prizes for academic excellence.
Jennifer Agamolga Anapoka, Manager of the Alombinuo Foundation, emphasized the organization’s commitment to creating opportunities for disadvantaged individuals in various sectors where the foundation operates.
“This is just a way of giving back to society by ensuring that pupils who are less privileged also have the opportunity to excel in life. Some of the students here do not have school uniforms, so for us, in order for them to feel comfortable and avoid mockery from their peers, it is important that we provide them with these uniforms,” she said.
The gesture has brought joy and relief to the students, teachers, and parents of Yipaala Primary and Junior High School. The head teacher of the school, Margaret Abugre, expressed gratitude to the Alombinuo Foundation, stating that the support will motivate students to work harder and strive for excellence.
