The New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the Talensi constituency, Robert Alibo Ayinenaba, has commended the government’s commitment to addressing the development needs of the Talensi people. He said the people of Talensi had yearned for the construction of CHPS compounds, classroom blocks, and an accessible road network which the NPP government has worked to fulfill the long-standing requests of Talensi residents.

“The people of Talensi are seeing the things that they need. They cried for roads, and the roads are being fixed, they cried for CHPS compounds, the CHPS compounds are being provided, they cried for classroom blocks and they are being provided and I believe that this clearly suggests the NPP has held its own when it comes to that contract they signed with the Talensi people,” he stated.

Mr. Alibo made these remarks during a ceremony at the Pwalugu community in the Talensi where the District Road Improvement Program (DRIP) machines were officially presented to support road infrastructure improvement in the district.

He called on Talensi constituents to remain steadfast and assured them that there is a lot more the government will deliver for the constituency. The procurement of the DRIP machines, he noted, is part of the government’s efforts to address poor road conditions nationwide.

Thomas Duanab Wuni, the District Chief Executive for Talensi, explained that the assembly has started using the DRIP machines to reshape critical road sections, which will improve transportation and safety. Dr. Duanab expressed confidence that with continued support, the NPP could achieve even more for Talensi, urging the community to back Robert Alibo Ayinenaba and NPP presidential candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the upcoming elections.

Naba Ayine Akapiisi-Kuruguru, the Chief of Pwalugu commended the government for its focus on rural infrastructure, adding that the DRIP machines will play an essential role in improving major routes connecting farmlands to reduce post-harvest losses.
