The Upper East Regional Communication Bureau, led by Jonathan Abdallah Salifu, has expressed confidence that December 7, 2024, will forever be remembered as “a day of triumph and renewal.”
In a press statement, Mr. Abdallah Salifu shared the bureau’s delight over the “sweeping victory” achieved by the NDC in the elections and highlighted the exemplary leadership of President-Elect John Dramani Mahama.
“The Upper East Regional Communication Bureau congratulates H.E. John Dramani Mahama on his resounding victory as President-Elect of the Republic of Ghana. Your exemplary leadership, commitment to national development, and vision to reset and build the Ghana we want have earned the overwhelming confidence of Ghanaians, as demonstrated in the decisive outcome of the December 7, 2024, elections.”
The statement also lauded Vice President-Elect Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, emphasizing the significance of her new role as a symbol of hope and progress for women nationwide.
“We also take immense pride in congratulating Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang on her historic achievement as the first female Vice President-Elect of Ghana. Your landmark election is a beacon of hope and progress for gender inclusivity and empowerment in our nation, and it inspires countless women and girls across Ghana and beyond.”
The bureau further commended the 15 Members of Parliament elected to represent the people of the Upper East Region, noting their hard work and dedication during the campaign period.
“We further celebrate the remarkable victory of all 15 elected Members of Parliament from the Upper East Region. Securing all parliamentary seats in the region underscores the trust and confidence the people have in the National Democratic Congress (NDC). This historic feat reflects the dedication and tireless efforts of our parliamentary candidates, their campaign teams, and the entire party machinery.”
Mr. Abdallah Salifu extended appreciation to party members, supporters, sympathizers, branch executives, constituency executives, regional executives, campaign teams, and elders whose sacrifices and resilience ensured the party’s collective success despite numerous challenges.
