Daniel Dung Mahama, the newly elected Member of Parliament for the Talensi Constituency, has pledged to adopt an inclusive leadership approach, vowing to work with all constituents regardless of their backgrounds or affiliations.
In his victory speech, Mr. Mahama emphasized the importance of collaboration, stating that he cannot achieve the necessary development for the people alone.
He assured constituents that he would involve every group in the decision-making process and developmental planning for the constituency.
“What I am bringing on board is a plan to involve all Talenis in the decision-making process to build a better Talensi. I think I cannot do this in isolation. I need to bring all Talenis together, and together we will achieve a lot for Talensi,” he said.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) MP-elect secured a decisive victory, obtaining 22,575 votes, while his closest contender, Robert Alibo Ayinenaba of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), garnered 8,787 votes. Dr. Michael Wombeogo of the People’s National Convention (PNC) secured 1,497 votes.
As Mr. Mahama prepares to take office, he acknowledges the efforts of his supporters and party members and assures them of his commitment to deliver on their expectations, with support from the President-elect, John Dramani Mahama.
President-elect John Dramani Mahama also won decisively in the Talensi Constituency, obtaining 25,393 votes, while Mahamudu Bawumia of the NPP secured 6,589 votes.
