The youth of the Namoo Traditional Area in the Bongo District have lauded President John Dramani Mahama for appointing Donatus Akamugri Atanga as the Upper East Regional Minister-designate.
In a statement signed by Ayeta Daniel, Secretary to the Youth, the group described the appointment as a testament to President Mahama’s unwavering commitment to the development and progress of the Upper East Region.
“We recognize this nomination as a true testament of His Excellency’s deep commitment to the development and progress of the Upper East Region,” the statement read.
The youth highlighted Mr. Akamugri’s dedication to public service and his proven leadership qualities, expressing confidence in his ability to effectively serve the region. They praised his alignment with President Mahama’s “reset agenda,” which they believe will bring transformative development to the region.
“Hon. Akamugri’s dedication to public service and his proven leadership qualities over the years inspire our confidence in him to effectively serve the Upper East Region to achieve the needed development in the reset agenda of the President,” the statement added.
While expressing gratitude to President Mahama for the honor, the youth also congratulated Mr. Akamugri on his appointment, assuring him of their full support in addressing the challenges facing the region.
“We assure you of our unflinching support in your new role and are very much prepared to work together to support you tackle the countless number of challenges facing our region,” the statement concluded.
Mr. Akamugri is the current Upper East Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, being the longest-serving Regional Secretary and National Executive Member of the NDC since 1998.
