The 2024 edition of the Frafra Unity Inter-Community Football Tournament, which came to a thrilling conclusion in November last year, saw Bolga Soe Community crowned as champions.
The finals, played between the eventual winners, Bolga Soe, and Tanzui—who were the maiden winners in 2021—was marked by intense fireworks and an excellent display of football by both communities. After a goalless match in regulation time, Bolga Soe claimed victory in the penalty shootout, earning the bragging rights.
In a heartwarming gesture, the team presented their trophy to the Chief of Soe Community, Naba Anabila Akanvah, at his residence in Bolga Soe on Saturday, January 11, 2025.
The Chief received the trophy with excitement and pride, expressing his gratitude to the team for their achievement and their thoughtful gesture.
The event, led by the Assemblyman of the area, Honourable Lambert Akunzebe, included the team members and was attended by the people of Bolga Soe.
In his remarks, the Chief praised the team for their outstanding performance and encouraged them to continue bringing honor to the community. He also expressed his appreciation to everyone who contributed to the team’s success.
The event concluded with cheers and applause from the attendees. Although the 2024 Frafra Unity Games have ended, the spirit of unity and pride continues to thrive in Bolga Soe.
