The Competition Department (CD) of the Upper East Regional Football Association (UERFA) has released the fixtures for the upcoming 2024/2025 Middle League.
Following a new format, which placed the 24 clubs into three groups to allow for more game time, the league witnessed some of the highest scorelines across the various zones.
Notable among these results was Berekum City’s 11-2 victory over Sheaga A Real Town Utd and Bolga Soe Stoppers’ 15-0 thrashing of Yorogo Young Stars, among others.
Each club completed the season with a total of 14 matches at the zonal level, except for Zone One, which was split into Zones A and B due to security concerns.
Zone One A featured Berekum City, Bongo Beo Samba Stars, Bongo Young Reformers, and Sheaga A Real Town Utd. After 12 matches each, Berekum City emerged as the group leader. Zone One B comprised Garu Utd, Kassena Nankana Utd, Tili Awarey Stars, and Teonde Utd. Due to recent disturbances in the area, teams in this zone played only the first and second rounds, with Garu Utd emerging as the winner.
In Zone Two, Zorkor Utd SC went unbeaten at the zonal level to secure qualification alongside Paga Crocodile Stars, while Soccer Masters and Bolga All Stars qualified from Zone Three.
The Middle League, scheduled to run from April 12 to May 11, 2025, will feature Garu Utd, Berekum City, Soccer Masters, Bolga All Stars SC, Zorkor Utd SC, and Paga Crocodile Stars competing for the sole ticket to Division One football.
At the end of the round-robin football competition, the top club will qualify for the Division One League, while the top four clubs will secure qualification for the MTN FA Cup.
All matches are set to take place at the Kurt E.S. Okraku Technical Center in Winkogo.
