Jacob Abugri Aka-Eri, the newly confirmed District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Bolgatanga East District, has pledged to lead an inclusive administration devoid of partisanship. Despite being a proud member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Aka-Eri assured that his office would be open to all, regardless of political affiliation.
He extended a hand of cooperation to members of other political parties, emphasizing the need to prioritize the development of Bolga East above political interests.
“I am aware of the politics of our time. I know the weight this office carries—not just administratively, but politically. Though a proud member of the great National Democratic Congress, I wish to assure you that this office is open to all persons, irrespective of political or party affiliation. I extend my hand to all, including members of other political traditions. Let us put Bolga East first,” he stated.
Mr. Aka-Eri’s confirmation follows a strong endorsement, having secured 23 out of 24 votes cast by assembly members.
The Upper East Regional Minister, Donatus Akamugri Atanga, called on Mr. Aka-Eri, the Presiding Member, and all assembly members to collaborate in transforming the district. Mr. Aka-Eri’s commitment to inclusivity is expected to foster unity and accelerate development efforts in Bolga East.
