With tenacity and a powerful display of football, the young lads of Young Bolga FC clinched the title from their opponents. Their impressive performance saw them lift the coveted trophy after a 3-1 victory in the finals on Saturday at the Mobile Astro Turf Field in Bolgatanga.
On their way to the final, the team defeated Yagzore Faith Academy 3-1 in the semi-finals, with Ayuba Baba netting a brace and Nicalcious Ayamga adding another goal.
They recorded the same scoreline in the finals, beating Soccer Masters Colts 3-1. Once again, Ayuba Baba and Nicalcious Ayamga got on the scoresheet, with the third goal scored by Isaac Asebire.
This feat showcases the team’s talent, readiness, and dedication to the game.
The Bolgatanga Municipal Football Association (BMFA) has been a pillar in actively promoting youth football in the municipality.
In recent years, the BMFA has organized pre-season tournaments for juvenile clubs to unearth and develop young talents in the U13, U15, and U17 categories.
Young Bolga FC’s victory in the U17 league is a testament to the team’s hard work, commitment, and determination.
The team will participate in this year’s Inter-District U17 League in the coming weeks, aiming to lift the trophy after falling short in the finals against Mboma City last season.
