Daniel Asebila Agengre, a communications team member of the New Patriotic Party, has announced his candidacy for the position of Communications Officer for the Bongo Constituency in the Upper East Region.
Agengre, who currently serves on the Upper East Regional NPP communications team, made the announcement in a statement released Thursday, pledging to prioritize grassroots engagement and transparent communication if elected.
“I humbly declare my intention to serve as Communication Officer,” Agengre said. “Driven by a deep sense of passion and a commitment to empowering our constituency, I pledge to approach this role with compassion, dedication and integrity.”
The aspiring constituency officer outlined three primary objectives for his potential tenure: serving as a liaison between party leadership and constituents, fostering transparency and accountability within the local party structure, and promoting development initiatives that benefit all party members and the broader community.
Agengre emphasized his commitment to grassroots-focused leadership, promising to “serve with humility and dedication, putting the needs of the grassroots first” and ensuring “all voices are heard” in party communications.
The Bongo native has been active in NPP communications work, recently explaining the party’s controversial GH¢4.6 million fee structure for presidential aspirants during a radio appearance.
If elected, Agengre would be responsible for coordinating the NPP’s messaging and outreach efforts in Bongo Constituency.
The NPP has not announced the date for constituency-level elections.
