The Member of Parliament (MP) for Navrongo Central, Simon Aworigo, has announced a new initiative to provide access to potable water for schools, health facilities, and communities within his constituency.
The project, which forms part of his MP’s Initiative (Phase III), is being rolled out as a special birthday package to the people of Navrongo Central.
In a statement shared on his official Facebook page, the MP explained that the initiative reflects his commitment to ensuring sustainable access to clean and safe drinking water, a critical resource for health, education, and community development.
“As part of my MP’s Initiative (Phase III), a special birthday package to the good people of Navrongo Central, we are set to drill boreholes for selected schools, clinics, and communities. This initiative reflects our shared commitment to ensuring lasting access to clean and safe water, a vital resource for life, health, and development,” he wrote.
The beneficiary institutions include three schools Wuru Primary & JHS, Tono Primary & JHS, and Gayingo Primary & JHS, as well as three clinics: Kongwania Clinic, Janania Clinic, and Vunania Clinic. Additionally, four communities, Wusungu, Pungu Central (Telania), Atinpelim (Gongonia), and Nogsenia Zongo, will also benefit from the intervention.
According to Mr. Aworigo, community engagement will begin on Monday, October 20, 2025, starting with health and educational institutions, followed by sessions with community members on Tuesday, October 21, 2025.
He urged residents to actively participate and support the initiative to ensure its success. “Let’s all participate actively and support this initiative as we work together to bring development to every part of Navrongo Central,” he added.
The project marks another milestone in the MP’s ongoing efforts to improve living conditions and promote equitable development across the constituency.
