No one is above the law — Attorney General Ayine assures Ghanaians

The Attorney General and Minister for Justice, Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine, has assured Ghanaians that all cases currently under investigation and prosecution by his office will be handled with the utmost diligence and professionalism.

He emphasized that the government remains committed to upholding justice and ensuring that individuals found culpable face the full rigors of the law.

Dr. Ayine gave the assurance during his Accountability Press Series held in Accra on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, where he addressed key issues regarding the justice delivery system and ongoing high-profile investigations.

He urged the public to exercise patience and trust in the judicial process, stressing that his office is working tirelessly to ensure that every case brought before the Attorney General’s Department is pursued with fairness, transparency, and respect for due process.

“I want to assure the good people of Ghana that my office is diligently handling all matters under investigation. Those found guilty of wrongdoing will be dealt with according to the laws of Ghana,” Dr. Ayine stated.

The Attorney General also noted that strengthening public confidence in the justice system remains a key priority for his ministry.

Dr. Ayine reaffirmed that no individual, regardless of social or political standing, is above the law.

He appealed to citizens to support the justice system by providing credible information to aid investigations, assuring that the Attorney General’s Department remains steadfast in its mission to uphold justice and promote the rule of law in Ghana.
