Community advocate Anaba Benedicta has donated GH₵2,500 worth of items to Arigu M/A Primary School in the West Mamprusi District of the North East Region to support early-grade learners, while calling on individuals, organizations, and businesses to help expand her education-focused initiative, the Tirɛkɛ Foundation.
The Tirɛkɛ Foundation has been engaged in charitable activities in deprived communities for several years. The latest donation funded the purchase of books, pencils, and 45 school uniforms for kindergarten pupils at the Arigu M/A Primary School.
“We wanted to ensure that these young learners have the necessary tools to start their educational journey,” Ms. Anaba said. “Education is the foundation for a brighter future, and we believe every child deserves access to basic learning materials.”
Ms. Anaba said the foundation intends to continue its work despite its pending registration status.
“We believe in taking action now, and we won’t let paperwork hold us back. Our mission is too important,” she said.
She noted that the Tirɛkɛ Foundation plans to expand its education efforts to include scholarships, skills workshops and broader community outreach. To achieve this, she urged the public to assist through financial support, resource donations or volunteer participation.
“I am reaching out to everyone — individuals, businesses and organizations — to join us in this mission,” she said. “Your support can help us create a brighter future for our children. Every little bit helps.”
Ms. Anaba said community participation is central to the foundation’s long-term vision.
“Together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of children who need it the most,” she said. “Education is a powerful tool, and we want to ensure that every child has access to it.”
The foundation is encouraging those interested in supporting its efforts to connect through social media or upcoming community events.
With continued support, Ms. Anaba says the Tirɛkɛ Foundation hopes to become a source of hope and opportunity for children in Arigu and beyond.
