New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer hopeful Kennedy Ohene Agyapong is committed to driving industrialisation and job creation if elected to lead the country, according to his Upper East Regional spokesperson, Pater Atohoba Anyorkah.

Speaking on A1 Radio, Mr. Anyorkah said Mr. Agyapong has developed a detailed plan to harness the region’s economic potential by leveraging raw materials such as shea nuts, rice, and tomatoes. He stressed the need for a leader who can turn these resources into viable industries and create sustainable employment.

“Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has done his homework,” he said. “He has identified opportunities for job creation and has a blueprint for transforming the region.”

Mr. Anyorkah described the current levels of unemployment in Ghana as unacceptable, noting that too many young people lack meaningful opportunities. He said Mr. Agyapong’s strategy includes deploying modern technology to boost agriculture—such as rain-inducing systems and all-year irrigation—to ensure continuous farming and increased productivity.

He urged NPP delegates and the wider Ghanaian public to support Mr. Agyapong’s presidential bid, saying he is the leader capable of delivering real change and development for the Upper East Region and the country.
