His Majesty Chianabu-Pio, Pe Ditundini Adiali Ayagitam III, Paramount Chief of the Chiana Traditional Area, has praised the Sirigu Naba, Naba Atogumdeya Roland Akwara III, for his 10 years of dedicated leadership, highlighting his commitment to education, healthcare, agriculture, and community welfare.
Speaking at the 10th anniversary celebration of the Sirigu Naba, which coincided with the maiden edition of the Azuko Festival honoring the founder of Sirigu, Pe Ditundini Adiali Ayagitam III lauded the chief for fostering partnerships between local communities and government institutions, emphasizing the importance of unity and continuous development.
“The development of our communities is a continuous process that can only be achieved through unity and concerted effort,” the Paramount Chief said. “We urge our young men and women to embrace hard work and respect for tradition, supporting the Sirigu Naba in his vital role in culture and economic growth.”
The Azuko Festival, celebrated for the first time, showcases the community’s identity, resilience, and shared values. Pe Ditundini described the event as a testament to the strength of the people of Sirigu, bringing together residents regardless of age, gender, or political affiliation to celebrate their achievements and aspirations.
He also paid tribute to local leaders who have inspired progress.
The Chiana Paramount Chief concluded by offering his profound gratitude to Sirigu Naba for a decade of service, wishing him wisdom, good health, and a lasting legacy. “May his name continue to be blessed, and may his legacy be one of eternal peace,” he said.
The celebration underscored the critical role of traditional leadership in guiding communities, promoting culture, and supporting sustainable development in Ghana’s Upper East Region.
